why Mondo Blu?

Why the name? When you sign up to broadcast, you need a DJ name and I am terrible at choosing "nicks" or usernames. So I borrowed a line from Steely Dan, which I had been listening to and chose "terzomondo". Mondo Blu was just a logical extension and seemed a good descripton for the musical format. So now you know.
I would love to be able to say that I have always been musical. BIG mistake. Ask any of my old (ex-) music teachers or my family for that matter, if indeed they have recovered ... So I respect anyone who can play and/or sing professionally, or just well and for fun.
Some musical influences, in no particular order:
Frank Sinatra, Buddy Holly, Bee Gees, Benny Goodman,Scorpions, a-ha, Simply Red, Rainbow, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Gary Numan, Thelonious Monk, Talk Talk, Muddy Waters, Steely Dan, José Feliciano, Miles Davis, Matt Bianco, Chico Buarque, Eric Clapton, Police, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Duran Duran, Santana, BB King, Roxy Music, Johnny Clegg, Dave Brubeck, Coldplay, Sam Cooke, Evanescence, Richard Bona and a cast of many others.
The idea for the station was an accident, to be honest. I spent 3 months at the beginning of 2005 waiting for an internet connection and as a fan of internet radio, this meant I started to listen to all the music accumulating on my hard drive. And ... I realised I had enough to "start a shop", as my parents would say. So why not do the next best thing and play it?
